Teddy Bear Picnic

Let's go for a picnic! 

In Ruby Wishfingers: Toad-ally Magic!, the Wishfingers hold a teddy bears' picnic for Jellybean's 1st birthday. 

 Ruby, Mum and Granny had been busy all week making plans for Jellybean’s first birthday. They had decided on a teddy bears’ picnic, to be held in the garden tomorrow morning. There would be fairy bread, lemonade and sandwiches cut into little triangles.

Teddy Bear Cars

Teddy Bear Chocolate Cars

Ingredients:

1 packet Milky Way Bars
1 packet Tiny Teddies Biscuits
1 packet Smarties
1/2 cup of Choc Melts

 

Method:

1. Get all your ingriedients ready in a production line on the bench. 

2. Melt the Choc Melts in a small dish in the microwave for 30 seconds, or until melted.

3. Using a thin instrument (could be a spoon, chopstick or knife), place a small amount of chocolate onto a Smartie and then stick gently onto the Milky Way Bar. Repeat 3 more times for each wheel. 

4. Holding the Milky Way Bar by its sides, gently press a Tiny Teddy into the chocolate. 

5. Repeat until you've got a set of Teddy Bear Cars. Enjoy! 

 

Ruby’s Enchanted Garden Cupcakes

Earthworm cupcakes:
Fill the cupcake wrappers to half way, leaving enough room once baked to top with chocolate ‘soil’ (oreo/chocolate cookies bashed with a rolling pin in a plastic bag) and a halved sour worm, with cut ends pushed into the soil.

Lollipop flower cupcakes:
Ice cooked cupcakes with green icing, push a lollypop into the centre and place two spearmint leaves at the base.

Jellybean Rain cupcakes:
Ice baked cupcakes with green/blue icing, decorate with a few jellybeans and a little cocktail umbrella.

Ruby's Lemonade

Ingredients:

3/4 cup caster sugar                            
1 cup boiling water
2 cups of cold water                           
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice                            
Ice cubes
 
Method:

1. Pour boiling water into a heat proof jug.
2. Stir in caster sugar. Set aside to cool.
3. Add lemon juice (make sure there are no pips!) to the mixture.
4. Add 2 cups of cold water and stir.
5. Add ice cubes and enjoy!

Fairy Bread Recipe

Ingredients 

12 slices fresh white sandwich bread
100g butter (room temperature)
1/2 cup Hundreds and Thousands

Method: 

1. Spread the white bread slices with butter. Make sure it’s a thick coating.

2. Use fun-shaped cookie cutters to cut shapes in the middle of the buttered bread.

3. Place the Hundreds and Thousands on a level-surfaced plate. Press the white bread (buttered-side down) into the Hundreds and Thousands. Serve! Yum!
